School of Basic & Applied Sciences
The School of Basic and Applied Sciences is self-financing professional school affiliated to IEC University and recognized by the UGC. It runs Department of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics which were established in 2012. The Department of Chemistry offers M.Sc./B.Sc(H) and Ph.D. Chemistry. The Department of Physics offers M.Sc and Ph.D. Programme. In 2019, a new master course (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) has been introduced under chemistry department. Ph.D. programme has also been provided by the school to enhance the research area of the university. The Departments under the school of basic sciences have been set up to introduce the students with the importance of science in all respect whether it is related to environment, daily life, and industrial or inter-disciplinary research. The doctoral course includes seminars, tutorial work, ppt presentation and practical training programs. Further, research-based project provide an opportunity for students to increase their knowledge of substantive areas of burning research.

Mission
- To make the students capable of reading critically, writing clearly and exercising their faculty of imagination effectively to interpret, evaluate, analyze and contextualize the mathematically and the scientific texts.
- The department of Mathematics will achieve overall educational, social, economic, and cultural up-liftment of under-privileged people of rural and backward area. It will promote value based and job- oriented education, together with the high quality of learning and research in the technologically enabled environment with regional, national and global perspectives.
- The department will be developed as the excellent center for the promotion of research and teaching in mathematics, so that we fulfill the conception made by the founder - as a world class university.
