About Us University
IEC University has been duly established by the Himachal Pradesh State Legislature by enacting “The IEC University Act” 2012.
The University Campus is situated 30 kilometres from Chandigarh, on the Pinjore-Nalagarh National Highway at Atal Shiksha Kunj, Kallujhanda. The sprawling campus of the University is equidistant from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Nalagarh and Solan.
Spread over 14.5 acres and situated on the foothills of beautiful Shivalik Mountains of Kasauli Valley, the University campus is in serene, peaceful, invigorating environment, amply lined with lush green trees, beautifully landscaped gardens and magnificently designed buildings housing state-of-the-art facilities.
IEC University, one of the best universities in Himachal Pradesh, is a government-recognized university duly empowered to award its own degrees as per Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
The University is recognized & approved from Statutory Bodies for each of the respective professional courses in Law, Pharmacy and Healthcare by
- Bar Council of India.
- Pharmacy Council of India.
- State Allied & Health Care Council Himachal Pradesh.
IEC University offers courses at graduate, postgraduate and research levels aimed at delivering multi-disciplinary programs duly aligned with needs of trade and industry in general and Baddi based industries, in particular.
Design and delivery of courses conducted by IEC University aim at creating a strong foundation to ensure quality education in keeping with industry needs.
Since its inception IEC University has been training, grooming and educating students for all round growth in personal and professional aspects.
IEC University offers education in the field of Engineering, Computer Application, Business Management, Basic Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Law, Hotel Management, Travel & Tourism, Journalism and Mass Communication, Art and Fashion with more than 86 UG, PG, Vocational, WILP and research level courses. IEC University has introduced and conducted Vocational courses and B. Tech programmes specially designed for working professionals.
The University provides a congenial environment for holistic growth and all-round development of students through suitably designed teaching-learning processes. Practical training is imparted to groom them into globally acceptable personalities with demonstrated communication skills, positive attitude duly developing aptitude for problem-solving apart from learning and adapting to work in a team.

Academic block is an epitome as the centre of learning excellence with two floored digital library, acoustically designed auditorium, 80 lecture theatres, well equipped laboratories, engineering workshops, seminar halls and a Computer Centre with 24 X 7 internet connectivity.
The University also has provision for well-maintained support facilities of canteen, gymnasium, health care centre, sports complex, transportation facility, ATM, Post office & Courier services.
Residential facilities for staff, duly furnished Students Activity Centre (SAC), Hobby clubs and Hostel facility are also part of the campus.
