About Us School oF Basic & Applied Sciences
Department of Chemistry is a self financing professional department affiliated to IEC University and recognized by the UGC. Department of Chemistry was established in 2012. Later on, M. Sc Chemistry course was started in 2013. Department of Chemistry also started B.Sc (Hons)
Chemistry course in the year 2014-15. After that in 2019, a new course named M.Sc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) has been started by the department. Ph.D. programme has also been provided by the department to enhance the research area of the university. The Department has
been set up to introduce the students with the importance of chemistry in all respect whether it is related to environment, daily life, and industrial or inter-disciplinary research. The Department ensures that the students get a practical knowledge about all the aspects of chemistry. The course
includes seminars, tutorial work, ppt presentation and practical training programs. Research based project provide an opportunity for students to increase their knowledge of substantive
areas of burning research. The Department of Chemistry has well furnished laboratory as per
UGC norms.
