IEC School of Engineering had conducted a webinar on 31/01/2022. All the students of Engineering were present at this knowledge sharing session. The Webinar’s Resource was Dr. Papun Biswas, Associate Professor, JIS College of Engineering, JIS SAMMAN. The Webinar was scheduled to start at 11:00 am till 12:00 noon.

A Guest Lecture on “Computer Networks” was conducted in IEC University by the department of Computer Science and Technology. The day started with the speech by Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jitender Singh and Er. Vinod Kumar, Registrar, IEC University, and of the renowned speakers Dr. Brijender Kahanwal (PT. C.L.S. Govt College Sector 14, Karnal) addressed the students as well as faculties regarding the contribution of engineers to the world. The lecture on Computer Networks was very informative he covered all the basics of the Networking. All the Faculties and students actively participated in the Lecture. The Lecture was ended by the motivational speech of Dr. Brijender Kahanwal and Er. Raman, Dean, School of Engineering, IEC University.

Description: A Workshop on “IT Infrastructure Landscape Overview” was conducted in IEC University by the department of Computer Science and Technology. The workshop was very informative. The Mr. Vikas (Technical Experts, IBM) taught about the basic needs of today’s IT Industries. The 21st century is earmarked as Information Technology driven and India is at the Centre of global attraction and considered as a knowledge powerhouse. The IT industry covers IT services, IT-enabled services (ITES), e-commerce (online business), and Software and Hardware products. IT based services are indispensable for any organization to increase productivity, ease of doing business, and grow efficiently and economically in this competitive world. Information Technology not only contributed to the economic growth of the country but it has also made governance more competent and approachable. It has made access to government services and information easier and inexpensive. Information technology has also made management and delivery of government services – such as health services, educational information, consumer rights and services etc. more meritorious with enhancing transparency. The IT industry is the backbone for our economy to prosper exponentially and to generate millions of jobs. Growth in the IT sector will push us to grow at par with China in every sector and will help in grabbing the global market. This will improve the socio-economic status of Indians.

Description: A Workshop on “Introduction to IoT” was conducted in IEC University by the department of Computer Science and Technology. The workshop was very informative. The Mr. Gaurav (Technical Experts, IBM) taught about the basic needs of IoT in today’s IT Industries. The Internet of Things (IoT) is continually expanding as new ways of connecting people with each other and their cars, homes, appliances, etc. are regularly introduced. These developments are not limited to personal and retail-based interactions. Manufacturing is also realizing the benefits of advances in digital technologies with the development of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

In order to cater the creative minds of engineering students and to make them abreast with the practical side of their coursework, a industrial visit to Govt Proposed MSME Tech 31 March 2022 in Baddi Solan H.P was organised by the Engineering Department IEC school of Of Engineering And Technology, Baddi Solan H.P. A group of 32 students got an opportunity to make aware of the industrial procedures required to enter in any company accompanied by faculty members Dr. Naveen Kumar( TPO ) Mr. Raman (Dean Engineering ), Dr. Pradeep Malik(HOD EEE/ECE/EE), Mr.Ravinder Madhan (HOD CSE Department), Mr. Ankit Kumar(Assistant Professor EE) Mr.Vivek Kumar(Assistant Professor ME) Miss. Abhishilpa Nandini(Assistant Professor CSE) Miss.Shivani Thakur(Assistant Professor CSE) and Miss Madhu Bala (Assistant Professor CE) of Engineering Department.

Inter B.Tech Competition
Date of Event: 21 Oct 2016 Details of the Event:
Description: The students of IEC University participated enthusiastically in the game of cricket as an inter-department competition organized by School of Engineering to encourage the physical growth of children IEC University organized of Cricket. Students from the Electrical, Electronics and communication, Mechanical, Civil, CSE departments took part in the competitions. The motive of the event was to increase interest of students towards the sports.
