Program Outcomes
PO1: Professional Knowledge: It helps the students to study and understand about the society, culture and social environment of
History, demonstrate knowledge of the chronology, narrative, major events, personalities and turning points of the history of the
India.
PO2: Research/Project Orientation: Familiarize the social, economic, political and cultural developments in India from prehistory
upto the Delhi Sultanate, focusing on socioeconomic developments and not on dynastic history, with elements of change and
continuity in Indian history. Study the trends and developments in India during the Mughal and the British periods, emphasising on
Socio-Economic and cultural patterns in understanding the polity and society.
PO3: Entrepreneurship Capability: Develop an entrepreneurial mindset to successfully identify, evaluate and seize opportunities
throughout the professional careers.
PO4: Conformist: It grants students to study our historical issues under the govt. guidelines.
PO5: Critical Thinking Mindset: It covers complete historical background of India and World context, etc.
PO6: Leadership and Teamwork: The program is designed for students to develop skills in the field of historical knowledge.
PO7: Professional Ethics: The training offers an intensive course and introduces them to theoretical aspects of History.
PO8: Professional Empowerment: It can also find employment in Archaeological Institutes, Museum and Educational Institutes.
PO9: Communication: Candidates also should possess the ability to construct the original History of India and world.
PO10: Social Responsibility and Environmental Conservation: It also should possess the ability to construct an argument and
communicate findings in a clear and persuasive manner.
PO11: Modern Analytical Knowledge: It also possesses qualities like the capacity to think objectively and approach problems and
new situations with an open mind.
PO12: Life Long Skills: Professionals with MA History can lead careers as Historians, Archaeologist, Teachers, etc.
Program Specific Outcomes
PSO 1: After completion of this course they gather knowledge about the socio-cultural heritage of India and world as well.
PSO 2: Help to grow national and international understanding among history students.
PSO 3: Careers options for students to engage as educators, archivists, producers of multimedia material and even as a researcher
in historic Sites and Museums, Historical Organizations, Cultural Resources Management and Historic Preservation etc.
PSO 4: History helps them to know the past people, their culture, their religions, and their social systems, and transforms them
